She faith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. And when 14. she had thus faid, she turned her felf back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto 15 her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom Seekest thou? She supposing him to be the gardener, faith unto him, Sir, if thou hast born him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus faith unto her, Mary, the 16. turned her self, and faith unto him, Rabboni, which is to say, Master, Je- 17. fus faith unto her, Touch me not: for I am not yet afcended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I afcend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God. Mary 17. Magdalen came and told that disciple, that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

Mary Magdalen tells the Apostles that
she had seen Jesus, but they give
no credit to her. Jesus appears a

OW when Jesus was risen early, the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalen, out of 10. whom he had cast seven devils. And. she went and told them, that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. 11. And they when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, Mat. xxviii. 9. believed not. * And as the other women] went to tell his disciples, behold Jesus met them, saying, All bail. And they came, and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

Now when they were going, behold some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief Priefts all 12. the things that were done. And when they were afssembled with the Elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the foldiers, saying, 13. Say ye, His disciples came by night and 14. stole him away, while we slept.
