y Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye Covenants. forget the Covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you to perform, even ten Commandments. * Be ye mindful always of his Covenant; the Word which he commanded to a thousand Generations; even of the Covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his Oath to Ifaac, and confirmed the same to Jacob for a Law. • Blessed is the Man, whosoever he be, whether Ifraelite or Stranger, that joineth himself to the Lord; and taketh hold of his Covenant, even that everlasting Covenant, which God hath made with us in Chrift; the new Covenant, of which Jesus is the Mediator. ► Come, therefore, and let us join ourselves unto the Lord, in a perpetual Covenant that shall not be forgotten. BAPTISM and the LORD'S SUPPER. Jesus commanded his Disciples to bapBaptifm. tize all Nations, in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. ▲ He hath faid also, That excepta Man be born again of Water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. Repent ye ther fore, and be baptized, every one of you, in the Name of Jesus Christ, for the Reniffion of Sins. f If thou believest with all thine Heart, thou mayest be baptized. & Jesus faid, Suffer little Children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the Kingdom of God. And he put his Hands upon them, and blessed them. We are all baptized into one Body. As many as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Chrift. * So many of us as were baptized into Jesus Chrift, were baptized into his Death. Therefore we are buried with him by Baptism into Death; that like as Christ was raised up from the Dead by the Glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in Newness of Life. For he that is dead is freed from Sin. 1 Baptifm doth now save us, (not the putting away the Filth of the Flesh, but the Answer of a good Confcience towards God) by the Refurrection of Jesus Chrift. m After that the Kindness and Love of God our Saviour toward Man appeared; not by Works of Righteousness which we have done, but according to his Mercy he faved us, by the Washing of Regeneration, and Renewing of the Holy Ghost. Bread, Bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to his Disciples, saying: Take, eat, this is my Body, which is given for you; this do in Remembrance of me. After the fame Manner also he took the Cup, and gave Thanks, and gave it to them, faying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my Blood of the New Testament, which is shed for you and for many, for the Remission of Sins: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in Remembrance of me. as often as ye eat this Bread, and drink this Cup, ye do shew the Lord's Death till he come. 0 For Jesus said unto the Jews, I am the living Bread, which came down from Heaven. If any Man eat of this Bread, he thall live for ever; and the Bread that I will give is iny Flesh, which I will give for the Life of the World. Except therefore ye eat the Flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his Blood, ye have no Life in you. Whofo eateth my Flesh, and drinketh my Blood, hath eternal Life; for my Flesh is Meat indeed, and my Blood is Drink indeed. He that eateth my Flesh, and drinketh my Blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. The Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life. It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the Flesh profiteth nothing. P The Cup of Blessing which we blefs, (faith St. Paul) is it not the Communion of the Blood of Chrift? And the Bread which we break, is it not the Communion of the Body of Chrift? For we being many, are one Bread and one Body; for we are all Partakers of that one Bread. Mat. 26. 26. 27, 28. I will pay my Vows unto the Lord, in the Presence of all his People. Whosoever shall eat this Bread, and drink this Cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the Body and Blood of the Lord. • Let a Man examine himself, and fo let him eat of that Bread, and drink of that Cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh Damnation to himself, not difcerning the Lord's Body. • Offer not polluted Bread upon his Altar: neither say, The Table of the Lord is contemptible. HOLY DAYS, FEASTS, and FASTS. 1 Y To every Thing there is a Seafon, Holy Days. and a Time to every Purpose under the Heaven. : In six Days the Lord made Heaven and Earth, the Sea, and all that in them is, and refted the seventh Day; wherefore the Lord bleffed the seventh Day, and hallowed it. * Upon the first Day of the Week the Disciples of Chrift came together, to break Bread, and to hear the Word preached. One Man eftcemeth one Day above another; another esteemeth every Day alike. Let every Man be fully perfuaded in his own Mind. But he that regardeth a Day, let him regard it unto the Lord. • Six Days thou shalt do thy Work, and on the seventh Day thou shalt reft; that thine Ox and thine Afs may rest, and the Son of thy Handmaid, and the Stranger may be refreshed. d Upon the first Day of the Week, which is called the Lord's Day, let every one of you lay by him in store as God hath profpered him. • Thon shalt rejoice before the Lord thy Feasts.
