The McDuffies (MacDuffies) of the Colonial Carolinas

F.H. Kent, 1992 - 338 pages
Clan MacDuffie was one of the earlier clans in Scotland. A number of these early MacDuffies immigrated to America. The first McDuffie to settle in the Carolinas was Daniel McDuffie (also known as McFee) who owned land on Carver's Creek in Bladen County, North Carolina in 1740. He had a son named John McDuffie, who owned land on what was then called McDuffie's Creek in Bladen County. He was the father of at least six children. Descendants live in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
