As the present High Altar is being replaced by a larger one, the Very Revd. E, McGivern, C.C., Lurgan, is anxious to dispose of it, and to receive suitable offers. The above photo shows the altar as it stands, which is in the Gothic style having carved groups and statues. The material of the altar and reredos is in Caen stone with marble columns, etc. The total width is 15 feet by 25 feet to top of cross of the centre canopy.

Was handed down from one generation to
another for many centuries in Ireland. In
local centres outside the Capital, such as
Cork, Youghal, Limerick, Galway and Belfast
the makers of Silver-ware were an important
and honourable Guild down to the beginning
of the 19th century, when the industry died
out everywhere except in Dublin.

To-day, however, in Cork, Silver is again
being manufactured. In our workshops we
are making some of the finest specimens of
Silver-ware ever produced in this Country.
Our Chalices, Ciboria and Monstrances,
have gone to many places in Great Britain,
Australia, South Africa, America, Canada,
China and India; the excellence of the
workmanship, combined with the beauty of
design, have brought us letters of apprecia-
