T was for your fakes and for your use chiefly I compofed this Difcourfe, and now offer it to your ferious thoughts and most lafting confideration, that it may teach you the Right Knowledge and perfmade you to the True Practice of that Great Duty it treats of. I have endea voured to fet it in fuch a Light as might remove the unreasonable Fears and Despairs of Some Few, and the Prefumptuous and false hopes of the far greater number of Sinners.
