MARK, i. 14: Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God. LUKE, iii. 19, 20: But Herod the tetrach, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison. LUKE, iv. 14, 31: And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee :-And came down to Capernaum a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days. JOHN, iv. 43: Now after two days he departed thence,

and went into Galilee.

When at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulon, and the land of Naphtali, and afterwards did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan Galilee of the nations. The people that walked in darkness, have seen a great light; they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. ROM. ii. 4: Despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance, and long-suffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance. 2 COR. vii. 10: Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation, not to be repented of. 2 PET. iii. 9: The Lord-is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. REV. ii. 5, 16, 21: Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of its place, except thou repent. Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. I gave her space to repent of her fornication, and she repented not. do. iii. 19: As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. MAT. x. 7: As ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of

heaven is at hand.

MARK, i. 16, &c: Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother, &c. LUKE, v. 1,2: He stood by the lake of Gennezareth, and saw two ships standing by the lake, &c.

JOHN, i. 42: Thou art Simon, the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation a stone.

LUKE, v. 10, 11: And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

23 ¶ And Jesus went about all Galilee, "teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Gospel *of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

24 And his fame went throughout all Syria : and they brought unto him all sick people that and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. But many that are first, shall be last; and the last, first. LUKE, Xviii. 28: Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. See on ACTS, xvi. 10.
