Couverture

The book contains a lot of history on the church. The reformation Movement, The heritage of faith from a number of preachers that tells the story of how they were treated, without cause including my own heritage of faith.

The main crux of this book is to show that it is possible to have unity in the church amidst adversity. The problem lies with brethren who insist on making an opinion a matter of law.

It is every man's privilege to hold to an opinion or opinions but he is not at liberty to make it a matter of church law. When this happens the end result is division, hurt feeling, and in some cases broken homes. If the reading public will read carefully this book they will get the message about the "DARK SIDE OF FELLOWSHIP." And its consequence and along with this see the beautiful ending with God's remedy for Peace, not only in this life but eternally.

Throughout my lengthy career as a minister I have witnessed tragic events caused because of holding tightly to an opinion.

There are chapter in this book that address some of the frivolous opinions and the heart aches they caused. This book is my plea for Peace, and lasting and happy peace.

A man's opinion has nothing to do whatsoever with my salvation.

If it has nothing to do with my salvation then it is not worth the effort it takes to speak so strongly on your opinion. Save the breath and use it for something spiritually profitable.

The rewards will be great Let the Holy Spirit of God be your guide in all that you speak. He, The Spirit of God will not lead you astray.

"Let all things be done decently and in order." I Cor. 14:40

For God is not the Author of confusion, but of Peace, as in the churches of the saints. I Cor. 14:33.

Psalm 133:1, How good and how pleasant it is for the brethren to dwell together in Unity.

This Psalm is all about the preciousness of family unity.

Because the church is the family of God I can see no reason why this would not be applicable.

It's blessedness is exclaimed verse 1 and explained verse 2,3. It sanctifies verse 2 and solidifies verse 3.
