curtis c. morelock5 Stars Out Of 5August 25, 2010curtis c. morelockI'm an 83 year old WWII vet and evangelist... ordained in 1950. This is the best a world of translators has to offer! I've used mine since 1967! My advice; get one and you'll see in about an hour of reading and study exactly what I mean! As soon as I can afford it I'm going to purchase 10 NTs to give to friends and family!

Gary Quave5 Stars Out Of 5December 10, 2008Gary QuaveGreat work that has stood the test of time. It is still today the most literal translation that I have found. I would recommend this bible to all who are serious bible students. While it is not very easy to read the precise language makes it very effective in conveying the truth of the scriptures. The footnotes are extremely helpful and the introductory articles are insightful as well as accurate. Rotterham's layout is unique and tends to show how beautifully the books of the bible were written. I also like the wide margins that afford much room for my own notes.

frank5 Stars Out Of 5February 2, 2007frankhow can some people be so brilliant? such is the case with mr. rotherham. this is a literal, word for word translation, which sometimes can make reading difficult. not so in this case. somehow, mr. rotherham was able to translate the word for word more accurately than those before him, yet was also able to allow a beautiful, poetic radiance to shine through this entire work.

PetcheKnoxville, TNAge: 45-54Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Great translationDecember 26, 2013PetcheKnoxville, TNAge: 45-54Gender: maleI am very impressed with this translation being so accurate in many regards to the original Hebrew and Greek languages of the manuscripts. I use several versions and compare to an interlinear, interpreting scripture with scripture. It takes a little practice and study to understand the emphasis notations. I did notice that some of the pages have slightly lighter black font than others, so reading glasses or a magnifier may come in handy for anyone with less than ideal vision. I love this version, it is the version of my choice now.

Nelson Hollins5 Stars Out Of 5EXCELLENT Translation : like poetry that you always read everything twice , to get the thought !!!May 15, 2018Nelson HollinsQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5All Bibles should be built using the perfect thick paper that this edition uses. There is no bleed-through, & reading the small print is easy.
The references at page bottoms are legible also. A future new edition would be better by having thicker stronger hardcovers for this 65mm thick Bible ; & also, 15 -20 blank pages after Revelation , (making it easier to use the New Testament section.)
CBD should always promote this Bible in their Catalogs, & online.
